🔍 Match Breakdown
A rematch of their Ilkley meeting in June, when Fearnley lost the first set and then dropped only three games in the next two. Both arrive in good form: the top seed without a dropped set, Nardi after a convincing win over Mmoh.
Fearnley's first serve is the biggest weapon on court – almost four percentage points better than Nardi's. Nardi lands slightly more first serves and is a little stronger on the second ball and on break points saved.
On return there is little in it (40% vs 39%), but Fearnley converts his chances more often (43.4% vs 40.2%). In a serve-led match those few breaks will matter.
The tight-moment numbers are one-sided. Fearnley has won 69% of his career deciding sets and 51% of tiebreaks; Nardi has won only 25% of deciders this season and 44% of tiebreaks.
Fearnley is the clear favourite on serve, record and head-to-head. Nardi's best chance is to keep his serve sharp, avoid tiebreaks and take the first set – Fearnley wins 95% of matches when he takes it.
